You will get a completely different sauna experience at our studio than at a gym…
Just relax, unwind and feel completely comfortable unclad. (Clothing is not recommended during sauna, as it can trap excessive heat against the skin and inhibit your body's ability to perspire freely. Picture below is for web suitable viewing!)
Enjoy complete privacy with no disturbances at our beautiful studio, with its pristine amenities. The refreshing smell of the Western Red Cedar and your choice of aromatherapy oils is just a small part of what makes a sauna at our studio so special... the ‘power shower’ and all the other trimmings make it such a beautiful treat…

Our standard appointments are an hour and a half to comfortably allow for sweating; showering, resting and rehydrating between sweat cylces; dressing time; and pampering with our beautiful products. New clients - Please allow an extra 20 minutes for FREE orientation and settling in...we like to welcome you and help you to feel at home. If you are not experienced in sauna we will teach you the traditional way.
We provide complimentary salon quality organic hair products from Everescents www.everescents.com.au, skin care products from Hemp Hemp Hooray www.hemphemphooray.com.au and body care from Sukin www.sukinorganics.com.au for your use. (We also retail these products). Filtered rainwater, aromatherapy oils, and hand towels are also supplied. Fruit platters and organic herbal teas are also available for a modest fee.
Full towel service is included in our sauna pricing. When you bring your own towels along we deduct $5 off of your investment. (We recommend that you bring a minimum of 2 towels if you choose to bring your own.
Refer to our Appointments Page for further details on pricing.

Traditional Steam Sauna
health and relaxation benefits.
People
use saunas for:
Relaxation
The heat in a sauna helps promote
deep relaxation and is an environment with no distractions
or demands. That is what makes it a great place for
peace and solitude.
Health Maintenance
Using a sauna once a week
or so can enhance blood circulation. It'll help cleanse
the skin, nourish glands, and offer benefits similar
to exercise.
Bonding
Throughout history, saunas and other
forms of hot baths have served as gathering places or
a 'hangout' for families and other groups. Our sauna can accomodate a maximum of four people and our studio space best accomodates individuals and couples.
Healing or Therapy
A sauna can be a powerful
but safe healing assistant. It helps decongest internal
organs, improve circulation, remove toxins and induces a state of deep relaxation, which allows the body to heal and regenerate.
Health benefits of saunas
According to many health professionals, sauna benefits
include...
a strengthened immune system
improved blood circulation
enhanced detoxification processes
deep skin cleansing and rejuvenation
tension and stress relief

Sauna vs. Steam Room
Even though theyre both basically hot baths,
a sauna uses dry heat and a steam room uses moist heat.
Saunas have very low humidity, which means they can
be much hotter than steam rooms. They're usually between
80°C and 100°C, which is perfectly safe because
they use dry heat.
A steam room is usually about 40°C. If the steam
room was any hotter than that it could scald your skin!
Types of Saunas
Saunas come in many different shapes, sizes and styles.
They can be separate rooms installed inside or outdoors.
There are traditional saunas and infrared saunas. Traditional
saunas use a wood, electric or gas sauna heater. Electric
are by far the most popular and this is the type of
heater in our new sauna.
Infra red sauna heaters are made of a ceramic or metallic
material. An infrared sauna uses far infrared rays as
the heating source. These rays penetrate your skin about
one and a half inches deep so your body is literally
heated from the inside out. This means the surrounding
air doesnt need to be heated to extreme levels
for heavy sweating.
We feel that a traditional steam sauna provides a more
natural way to sweat than a infra red sauna. Of course
this all comes down to personal preference and each
individual needs to research and choose what is right
for them.
